print media is dead?

it truly is.

wow,
that
is
surprising.

So, what is this website?

Print Media Is Dead, is a creative brand headed by Minnesota artist Tim Ashton.

Works available for download or purchase should soon include video games, handmade and digital art - originals and prints, a fashion line, creative writings, and more to come.

PMID is all about that Windows98 vintage aesthetic. In keeping with this theme, the dream is to produce a long line of digital content such as media player skins and visualizers; desktop color schemes or themes; tileable wallpapers.

Additionally, although teaching onesself to code is troublesome, the hope is to release some truly utilitarian, and beautiful, mobile and desktop applications. Pricing is TBD, but most likely will be free with an option to donate via Paypal or the like.

So, what is currently available for view or purchase?

Available to view Creator's Space in St. Paul: Currently one piece in the figure studies display by the help desk, and two in the gallery. More pieces throughout the walls, windows and shop.

Photos should be available here soon, through "the gallery here at PMID" and "instagram"; instagram doesn't let you see much without signing in, so I'll likely relocate my images somewhere more friendly.

What's on the horizon from this guy?

Lots of improvements to this website.

Several rudimentary programs with source code. Potentially something like a decimal-to-hexadecimal converter that runs in the console.

Or, ooh! Something that converts between mathematic bases, like base-10, base-9, base-8 etc.

More art available for purchase, probably through online sales rather than just local sales in St. Paul.
